Jackie Chandiru Officially Joins Routes & Roots Festival 2026

The Queen of the Nile Is Coming to Fort Portal

The Routes & Roots Festival 2026 is proud to announce the arrival of one of Uganda’s celebrated music voices, Jackie Chandiru, popularly known as the “Queen of the Nile.”

Jackie Chandiru rose to prominence as a leading member of the iconic Ugandan girl group Blu*3, before building a successful solo career and becoming one of the country’s recognized female music artists. She was also featured on Coke Studio Africa, further showcasing her talent to audiences across the continent.

From 29th–31st October 2026, Jackie Chandiru will bring her music and stage presence to Lake Saaka Recreation Centre, Fort Portal Tourism City, as Routes & Roots celebrates music, culture, food, art, tourism and adventure under the theme “Different Routes. Shared Roots.”
